When we launched in 2016, Georgia’s entertainment industry was growing rapidly. With numerous TV and film productions and thousands employed, we could see that the impact of the Creative Economy would be far-reaching and an essential part of Georgia’s dynamic economy alongside other emerging sectors like biosciences, FinTech, electric mobility and others.
“Oh no, not another publication!”
There’s very little media coverage of Georgia’s Creative Economy in comparison to the size. Statewide and local media outlets offer obligatory updates. Printed magazines, blogs and web sites come and go. Many have started with the initial energy, buzz and effort but lack the resources, support or passion required to sustain momentum. When Georgia Entertainment started, the timing was right for a well-funded and dedicated publication.
After months of planning and preparation, Georgia Entertainment launched as an active and credible resource for those who work and serve this industry. Today, we publish news and information from numerous sources and conduct interviews and videos with the who’s who of Georgia’s film, music and entertainment world. Our mission is to provide strategic and competitive intelligence to filmmakers, production professionals, musicians, game developers, educators and all those with a stake in the Creative Economy.
“Who are you?”
I and those involved in this effort have many years of publishing experience. As the founder of several successful publications including Georgia CEO we offer a one-stop source for executives and political leaders in regards to entertainment. We have close ties with elected and industry leaders that advise us on content, topics and critical issues. While we report on all happenings, our commentary and position generally is pro-business, pro-incentives, pro-entertainment in Georgia!
The Creative Economy will change the world and Georgia is uniquely positioned, thanks to our forward thinking policy makers and visionary business leaders.
