Don’t be surprised if you see your favorite local bar or college in “The 12 Lives of Sissy Carlyle,” a comedy making its world premiere later this month at the Atlanta Film Festival.
Parts of the movie, which will be screened at the festival March 27 at 7 p.m. at the Plaza Theatre in Poncey-Highland, were filmed at Churchill’s British Pub in Buckhead and the Art institute of Atlanta in Sandy Springs. It was also shot at two homes in Inman Park (director Fran Burst-Terrenella lives in the neighborhood), JavaVino in Poncey-Highland and two now-closed businesses: Stone Soup Kitchen in Grant Park and Olivia Morgan Antiques in east Cobb.
Though Burst-Terrenella has produced or directed about 700 film/video projects, mostly for corporate clients, this is the first feature film she has directed.
