The DeKalb Entertainment Commission (DEC) will offer a “Powerful Pitch DeKalb Workshop” on Saturday, October 13, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at DeKalb County’s Oakcliff Studios (3400 Oakcliff Rd., Suite 106, Doraville, Ga 30340). Whether you are a novice or professional at pitching film/tv projects, this workshop will help participants elevate their success in connecting with industry professionals who can help advance careers. The event is the first of a continuing pitch workshop series hosted by the DEC.
Instructors include Erin Bethea of Argentum Entertainment and Bernadette Boas of Ball of Fire Media.
Attendees will learn:
- What Hollywood is looking for right now
- How film/TV deals are structured
- The pitch format
- The do’s and don’ts of pitching your projects
Attendees will also:
- Create a pitch or enhance an existing one
- Practice a pitch with fellow attendees and with the instructors, allowing valuable feedback for participants
