Here are a few recent projects utilizing the Peach State:
- Hulu: “Murdaugh: Death in the Family” limited series. Produced at Assembly Atlanta in Doraville, the Southern crime series begins airing Oct. 15, 2025.
- Netflix: “Sweet Magnolias” series. Metro Atlanta’s Covington stands in for the fictional town of Serenity, South Carolina. The Season 5 finale, expected to air in 2026, was filmed on location in Savannah in mid-September.
- TLC: “7 Little Johnstons” reality series. Season 16 filmed in Forsyth over the summer, where the Johnston family resides. The season premieres in mid-October 2025.
- CBS: “Beyond the Gates” series. Season 2 of the soap opera — the first soap filmed outside New York or Los Angeles and the first new daytime soap in 25 years — filmed at Assembly Atlanta. The production, which features a predominantly Black cast, used multiple soundstages and backlot settings. Season 2 is expected to premiere in early 2026.
