The event launched with the Made with Georgia Panel featuring Jillian Danford, ambassador of Visit East Point; Thomas Laub of Shadowbox Studios; Walker Dalton of Film Savannah; Chelsea Spivey of Revolution Entertainment Services; Sophie Taitt of Taitt Media.

“TIFF 50 was Georgia’s moment to shine,” said Randy Davidson, founder and CEO of Georgia Entertainment. “Our From Script to Screen programming put a spotlight on the state’s cinematic strengths, from soundstages to scenery and crew. We offered industry leaders a front-row seat to Georgia’s infrastructure, hospitality and storytelling ecosystem. It was more than an event. It was Georgia on display.”

The Celebration of Cinema Soirée provided leaders in Georgia’s film industry the opportunity to network with producers and filmmakers from around the globe, showcasing Georgia’s talent and world-class infrastructure.

Both events were held at the newly renovated Campari Cinema Center, steps away from TIFF Bell Lightbox, the festival’s hub. “Variety” served as the exclusive media partner and was on hand to help celebrate during the event.

“Being featured on the back cover of ‘Variety’ during the Toronto International Film Festival is both an honor and a testament to Georgia’s growing global presence in entertainment,” said Jezlan Moyet, president of Georgia Entertainment. “It reflects the importance of the stories we are cultivating here and the limitless opportunities for creatives across film, music, gaming and beyond. We are proud to showcase Georgia as a place where every story has a home, and being recognized on this stage is a meaningful milestone in that journey.”

Georgia Entertainment’s “From Script to Screen” slate of events during TIFF 50 was presented by Shadowbox Studios and East Point Convention and Visitors Bureau. Other partners include Film Savannah, Revolution Entertainment Services, Fulton Films, Explore Gwinnett, PS Atlanta, Trilith Studios, Discover Atlanta and others.
