James Hall and the Ladies of… join Athens rock band Five Eight for a special night of music at Smith’s Olde Bar on Friday, Dec. 12.
Hall is rock royalty in the Atlanta music scene, with a career spanning over three decades. He first made his mark fronting Mary My Hope in 1989, followed by the hugely successful Pleasure Club, which cemented his status as an Atlanta icon. His diverse musical journey includes projects like The Futura Bold and The Steady Wicked, showcasing his versatility and collaborative spirit.

A musician’s musician, Hall has earned the admiration and respect of fellow artists throughout his career. He’s collaborated with notable musicians, including Marilyn Manson and Jimmy Gnecco of the band Ours, demonstrating his wide-ranging appeal across the rock landscape.

Known for his visceral and poetic lyrics, commanding stage presence, and distinctive voice, Hall continues to push creative boundaries with his current project, James Hall and the Ladies of… Recent releases include the album “Electric Hex” and the “Isolation Sessions” project. With a catalog exploring themes of love, mortality, and redemption through raw rock energy, Hall’s live performances are legendary in Georgia’s music community.
