Watch: NEP Sweetwater’s Solutions to Production Challenges

0

NEP Sweetwater has been working with LED screens and projection for 30 years, starting with live events and game shows. Now part of NEP Group, the world’s largest broadcast company, the company works on everything from commercials to feature films.

Todd Patience, Senior Account Executive, says they use LED screens in unconventional ways. The company has built LED floors with protective cages so actors can walk on them, mounted screens on condor lifts, and transported setups across parking lots. They’ve even stored screens outside between rain delays on set.

“Even the manufacturers are like, ‘what are you doing with this thing?'” Patience says. Each production—whether a horror film, commercial, or feature—requires different solutions.

“We’re never using it the same way,” Patience notes. “We’re always looking for creative ways to use them.”
