Alpharetta-based startup, Imagination Square Studios, received multiple silver awards this past month of October, at both the 21st annual Davey Awards and the 20th annual W3 Awards. These wins are based on trailers, which conceptually promote two projects currently in production.
The first project, “The Pointless Adventures of Dartman”, is a forthcoming animated feature about two strangers who were at the wrong place, at the wrong time, only to find themselves with new and incredible powers, realizing it is up to them to step up and heroically save the city from villainous chaos. Dartman received silver awards for both the Davey and W3 Awards event.
The second project, “The Tantalizing Tales of Amanda Sneed: The Diary of Dreams,” is an animated work based on a children’s novel of the same title. Amanda Sneed, the 10-year-old misfit, makes a misinterpreted wish and finds herself in a land where not only have all of her dreams come true, but her nightmares are very much real. While in this land of dreams, she also realizes why she is different from her peers – Amanda is a Dream Caster. The Diary of Dreams received a silver Davey Award for its respective trailer.
The Davey Awards is a premier international creative award focused exclusively on honoring outstanding work from small agencies, independent creators and in-house teams. Inspired by the story of David vs. Goliath, the awards recognize big ideas that come to life without big budgets. Each year, the Davey Awards celebrates the smart, nimble and impactful work being done by creatives who punch above their weight and deserve to be seen. The Davey Awards is sanctioned and reviewed by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA), an assembly of over 500 leading creatives at some of the world’s most acclaimed brands, institutions and agencies like the National Geographic Society, Digital Surgeons, NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pernod Ricard, Wheelhouse, Tom Ford Beauty, Psychoactive Studios, NAACP and others.
Since 2005, the W3 Awards has celebrated excellence in digital content, design and experiences, honoring everyone from global giants to independent creators who set trends, break boundaries and shape the digital landscape. The W3 Awards is sanctioned by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), an assembly of 500+ industry leaders from acclaimed brands, institutions and agencies like Microsoft, McCANN, Netflix, Havas, New York University, The Walt Disney Company, Work & Co, the National Gallery of Art and more.
