The Christmas Writer brings inclusive storytelling to the screen this holiday season with a special Atlanta premiere on Friday, November 21 at 7:00 PM at Moving in the Spirit, located at 1458 La France St. NE.
The heartfelt lesbian Christmas movie features an original score by Georgia-based composer Mark Kueffner, a member of GA Entertainment and 2025 Telly Award winner. Produced by Tello Films and Good Deed Entertainment, the film was directed by Tello Films founder and CEO Christin Baker, who co-wrote the screenplay with Katie I. Williams.
The Christmas Writer follows a bestselling lesbian Christmas author who loses her holiday muse and experiences writer’s block, setting her off on a journey to return to her quaint hometown in search of renewed inspiration, finding an unexpected love story along the way.
The film stars Shelby Allison Brown as Noel, Callie Bussell as Callie, Jordan Myrick as Paulette, Kendahl Landreth as Erin, Stacey Lee Powell as Jillian, Karen M. Chan as Grandma Robbins and June Tuss as Pepper. Andrew James Myers and Trenton Julius served as producers.
The production boasts an impressive post-production team, with editing by Matthew Zinn, whose credits include Fantastic Four and Ant-Man, and post sound by Ian Chase, known for his work on Superman, Avatar and Guardians of the Galaxy.
Following the screening, attendees can participate in a live Q&A panel with director Christin Baker and one of the film’s lead actors, offering an exciting opportunity to engage directly with the creative team.
