We had the pleasure of attending DreamHack Atlanta 2025 at the Georgia World Congress Center from Oct. 31 through Nov. 2. Georgia’s creative industries were out in full force, showing tens of thousands of attendees how our state does live experiences.
One standout example: our friends at Reel Supplies and Scenario Custom, among others, partnered with Clash Royale and Clash of Clans to build the set pieces for Clash Fest, where upper-bracket teams battled for a spot in the semifinals. The build featured a massive LED waterfall screen, towering fantasy structures and dramatic lighting throughout. It housed talent, production staff, casters and players, serving as both a functional broadcast stage and a stunning fan-facing experience.
Another highlight: Marvel Rivals, the hero-shooter phenomenon that surpassed 40 million players in 2025, held its first championship, Marvel Ignite, in Atlanta. Teams traveled from across the United States, including L.A.’s 100 Thieves and internationally with Japan’s REJECT squad competing for a major prize pool. It was a huge moment for esports and for Georgia.
DreamHack Atlanta continues to shine as a convention that brings together competitive gamers, casual fans and families. From live tournaments and free swag across booths from brands like Red Bull, Walmart and Kick to one of the region’s strongest cosplay communities capped by a $20,000 costume competition, the energy inside the hall was electric. Local cosplay artists showcased handcrafted builds using foam, fabric and advanced 3D materials.
The Indie Playground also served as a platform for Georgia’s emerging game developers and artists, giving them direct access to players, publishers and networking opportunities with larger studios. Artist Alley reinforced the same theme, real creatives connecting with real fans and selling work that matters in a world increasingly influenced by technology.
DreamHack brought more than 40,000 unique attendees, driving meaningful business for local restaurants, rental houses, hotels and transportation providers. It’s a reminder that Georgia remains a growing hub where gamers, developers and creative talent come together to build community, opportunity and world-class experiences.
