Atlanta Pride and Out on Film have announced the five recipients for the 2025 Reel Resistance Fellowship.

Earlier this year, Atlanta Pride and Out on Film presented a special screening of Andy Warhol’s film “Lonesome Cowboys” during a two-day community summit at Agnes Scott College. The summit was funded in part by grants from The Community Corps, South Arts, and Larch Creative Fund, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and Georgia Council for the Arts.

According to a press release, the Reel Resistance Fellowship program is also part of this partnership. The fellowship is a six-month program aimed at empowering LBGTQ+ filmmakers in Georgia to explore the queer community’s history through short-form documentary and narrative films. A $3,000 production stipend will be provided to the selected projects.
