40th Anniversary screening of ‘The Breakfast Club’
SCAD Cinema Circle: ‘The Breakfast Club’ 40th Anniversary
Friday, May 2 | 7 p.m. @ Trustees Theater in Savannah

The Breakfast Club, from the sweet bard of youth John Hughes, follows five teenagers (Molly Ringwald, Judd Nelson, Emilio Estevez, Ally Sheedy, and Anthony Michael Hall) during Saturday detention in the now-fabled halls of Shermer High School. Though they start out resenting one another, the teens learn they may not be so different after all over the course of one fateful day.
With spontaneous dance parties, soul-baring breakthroughs, and the most epic fist pump ever, detention — and teen film — never seemed cooler. Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, The Breakfast Club is as inextricably tied to the fabric of pop culture as ever before.
Join us for a special screening of Hughes’ enduring ode to teendom, featuring a Q&A with the film’s executive producer and SCAD professor of film and television Andrew Meyer as well as other surprises.
Tickets are free for SCAD Card holders
$5 for students, seniors, and military; and $8 for the general public.
