Atlanta concert promoter Lucy Lawler-Freas has been appointed as director of programming for the Fox Theatre, a newly created position at the historic Atlanta concert hall.
Lawler-Freas, whose first day on the Fox job is October 11th, will maintain her position as partner and senior talent buyer at Rival Entertainment, which she co-founded. Rival operates the Center Stage concert complex in midtown Atlanta, and books/promotes shows and festivals at other metro locations. At the Fox, Lawler-Freas will share booking duties with Fox Theatre President/CEO Allan Vella and Booking & Contract Manager Shelly Kleppsattel, who hope to raise the theater’s profile in an increasingly competitive concert promotion market.
