The Entertainment Tourism Alliance of Georgia (ETAG) and Georgia Entertainment today announced the Entertainment Tourism Summit, set for Nov. 12 at Brookhaven City Centre. The event will feature a luncheon, panel discussions, VIP experiences and networking opportunities, with additional programming to be announced. The summit is designed for entertainment travel planners, production professionals, tourism leaders and service providers supporting Georgia’s creative industries.
“Travel and tourism in Georgia generates over $80 billion, and entertainment continues to play a major role in that growth,” said Lynda Smith, founder and chair of ETAG. “From music and film to sports, fashion and gaming, Georgia’s creative industries are fueling tremendous tourism expansion. The summit will spotlight how the creative economy strengthens our state and how we can keep that momentum going.”
The day will run from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will begin with a luncheon followed by panels focused on the needs of entertainment producers, travel coordinators and tourism professionals.
“Entertainment and tourism are deeply connected. Every film shoot, concert, game or art show generates economic activity before, during and long after the event,” said Randy Davidson, founder and CEO of Georgia Entertainment. “We’re proud to partner with ETAG to better measure and expand the economic impact of Georgia’s creative industries and their contribution to statewide tourism.”
“ETAG’s work to support and advocate for Georgia’s entertainment and creative industries is vital to sustaining the state’s impressive growth over the last several years,” said Jezlan Moyet, president of Georgia Entertainment.
The event is being presented by Explore Brookhaven. The organization is contracted by the City of Brookhaven to provide professional tourism leadership and expertise for the Brookhaven destination. Explore Brookhaven has existed since 2019 and is directed by a board of civic and business leaders within the community that represent lodging, food service, arts and culture and the City of Brookhaven.
