The Center for Puppetry Arts announced over the weekend that it will receive a “remarkable gift” from the family of Jim Henson: a towering 12-foot statue of Kermit the Frog dressed as Charlie Chaplin’s The Little Tramp.

The statue stood at the front gates of The Jim Henson Company headquarters and former Chaplin studio on La Brea Avenue in Hollywood for the last 25 years. The gift follows the recent announcement of the sale of the legendary studio lot and the move of The Jim Henson Company’s headquarters to the Radford Studio Center in Studio City.

The statue will be relocated to the Midtown campus of the Center for Puppetry Arts, which is home to the largest collection of Henson’s “Sesame Street” and “The Muppets” artifacts.
