A Utah lawmaker won unanimous committee approval for a proposal to add $5 million to a fund designed to lure movie and television film crews to the state.
Republican state Sen. Jake Anderegg of Lehi told the Deseret News he knows incentives in his bill could pick winners and losers.
But he says it’s OK if Los Angeles and Hollywood lose, while Utah gains.
