Following a plunge in film production in Louisiana in recent years, the industry is experiencing a rebound.
In New Orleans, three feature films and four television series are in production. In recent months, three other feature films wrapped production in the city. Two major features are currently in preproduction: Channing Tatum’s X-Men adventure “Gambit,” in New Orleans, and Tom Hanks’ World War II drama “Greyhound,” in Baton Rouge.
“It’s super exciting,” said Katie Williams, director of Film New Orleans in the Mayor’s Office.
