The Atlanta Jewish Film Festival will celebrate the opening of the new Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center with an encore presentation of “Heading Home: The Tale of Team Israel,” a stirring, family-friendly story of sports, patriotism and personal identity.
This special film event will be presented at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19 in the Byers Theatre at City Springs, and include special guest speakers and an Atlanta Braves fan experience and giveaways, as well as ballpark-themed food truck eats on the City Green. Tickets are available for $18 and can be purchased here.
Kenny Blank, AJFF’s executive director, said the Performing Arts Center gives the Sandy Springs community “an inspiring focal point for cultural life,” and provides a new anchor location for the Film Festival.
