Augusta Indie Film Festival is helping local people launch their careers

0

The Augusta Indie Film Festival was on July 22 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Poppin Stop on Windsor Spring Road. The event featured six films ranging from horror to comedy to drama.

This was the third film showing since organizers started this. People from all over the country and world entered to be in this festival. Organizers say that is a testament to how much the event has continued to grow. They said the films have also gotten better each time, and that local filmmakers have gotten the chance to be exposed to the rest of the industry.

Quincy Kelly, co-founder of the Augusta Indie Film Festival, said, “We just want to make sure everyone knows that Augusta is a growing market. It is here to stay and we have a lot of talent right here. We just want to display that talent.”
