Each performance features multiple Georgia musicians in the places that inspire them.  Cities participating include Athens, Augusta, LaGrange, Rome, Savannah and Valdosta.

This year the festival has added animation as its own category and top winners in all categories will receive cash prizes as well as awards. 

By the time Will Martin graduated from Savannah’s H.V. Jenkins High School, his juvenile diabetes was overtaking his future. “I was slipping into kidney failure, losing my eyesight and on dialysis,” he says. “Frankly, I didn’t know how long I would live.”

In 2014, following the ISIS attacks on the Kurdish people and city of Kobane, Bazidi went to the Syrian-Turkish border to volunteer with relief efforts. He encountered a cause and a people group hurting. He took his camera and used it to bring the story of Evlin and the Kurdish people to light.

“I want to see the next generation of films shot in Georgia, written in Georgia, with Georgia writers and producers,” Glynn Beard, director of the Film and Digital Media Center.
