Kennesaw State has become the new home for The Georgia News Lab, an investigative reporting collaborative that has received multiple awards for the training of young investigative journalists.

Theater owner Michael Furlinger announced in a statement that the theater will be sold next month to Atlanta Film Society executive director Christopher Escobar.

The TWC ghost-hunting team has built its reputation on doing thorough, professional investigations of such reported sightings, and they followed that template in Savannah.

Unlike the rest of the convention, the Dragon Con parade is 100 percent free to watch.

As many production companies don’t call Georgia home and have little tax consequence here, those film credits may be sold for 60-95 cents on the dollar to wealthy Georgians with significant tax liabilities, or bundled and sold as a tax shelter to larger groups of smaller taxpayers.

Film-makers and financiers also fear that Brexit could see the UK’s role in European co-productions threatened because Britain will not be eligible for support from a huge EU funding pot designed to support films across the continent.

“We at Church’s Chicken have been in this community for decades and we believe the narrative here continues to unfold. So, we commissioned our own documentary to help tell the story of the people who live here day in and day out.”

Producers spent five weeks filming in the town of Ball Ground, 50 miles north of Atlanta, which was dressed to look like 1980s Arkansas.

The maximum investment in any project does not exceed $2,500,000 and is targeting the non-studio production in the $500,000 to $5,000,000 range.
