Savannah officials look to extend local film incentives

Savannah Film Office officials on Monday introduced several potential changes as well as an extension for the Savannah Entertainment Production Incentive, which offers cash rebates and relocation expenses reimbursement for qualified productions in the Hostess City.

World Box Office: Crazy Rich Asians conquers the Meg

Warner Bros.’ Crazy Rich Asians took the number one spot in a historic coup. The movie was the first romantic comedy in three years to beat the competition and take the top spot since the Amy Schumer vehicle Trainwreck. It took in $26.5 million from 3,384 locations over the weekend, to a five-day total of $35 million.
