Chattahoochee Hills is a conservation-driven city located just south of Atlanta, created by residents to protect the region’s last rural frontier while guiding thoughtful, intentional growth. Incorporated in 2007, the city adopted a nationally unique land-use framework requiring that 70 percent of all land remain in permanent greenspace. This approach has preserved thousands of acres of farms, forests, and river corridors while supporting compact, walkable hamlets that foster community, health, and economic resilience The Chattahoochee Hills Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) advances this vision through destination marketing rooted in stewardship, authenticity, and place-based storytelling. The CVB promotes four core tourism pillars—agritourism, arts and culture, heritage, and outdoor recreation—connecting visitors to working farms, trails and parks, cultural events, and historic landscapes. Through strategic partnerships, branding, and multimedia storytelling, the CVB positions Chattahoochee Hills as a model for sustainable tourism that strengthens the local economy while preserving what makes the community distinctive.
