The Atlanta Film Festival is proud to announce the winners of the 2019 Atlanta Film Festival Screenplay Competition. Chosen from over 1,200 submissions, these screenplays represent those who will receive mentorship opportunities to help hone their screenplays and plan the next steps in their careers.

A new production studio, Blackhouse Studios, located in East Point, Georgia is slated to open this summer. The building, which was purchased in November 2018 by the first African-American owned crowdfund, the Tulsa Real Estate Fund (TREF), is currently undergoing renovations.

The panel, “The Film Industry” was held on Thursday, Feb. 28 in Whiting Hall, Room 110A, discussing the experiences and ways to prosper in the film industry.
