Film and TV industry insiders share insights on growing industry in Georgia

Those working in Georgia’s growing film and TV industry are working together to help foster and nurture more talent based in the state.

Casting Director Jessica Fox-Thigpen brings in actors and actresses from across the Southeast, and said more and more are coming from right in the Metro-Atlanta area. And while many film and TV productions cast their larger roles in LA or New York and only the minor parts in Atlanta, she is casting all roles — big and small — from right here.

Fox-Thigpen has been casting actors in roles since the 80s, working in LA for years before relocating to unincorporated DeKalb in 2008 where she spent her childhood years. She started Fox Casting in 2015 and has cast more than 1,100 roles since opening up she said.
