0

On June 14, Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Phil W. Hudson spoke to the country music singer-songwriter Brent Cobb.

The Ellaville, Ga.-native is currently signed to the Elektra Records imprint Low Country Sound, where he recently released his major label debut album “Shine on a Rainy Day.” The album was produced by Cobb’s cousin, the Grammy Award-winning producer and Georgia native Dave Cobb.

Cobb was recently nominated for “Emerging Artist of the Year” at the 2017 Americana Honors & Awards. The annual awards show will take place Sept. 13 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.

In addition to his own music, Cobb has risen to become among the most respected writers in Nashville with songs recorded by numerous major artists including Lambert (“Old (expletive)”), Kenny Chesney (“Don’t It”), Luke Bryan (“Tailgate Blues”), David Nail (“Grandpa’s Farm”), Kellie Pickler (“Rockaway”) and Eli Young Band (“Go Outside and Dance”).
