Bill Wooten discovered his pecan grove is pretty good for making movies.
The resident of the rural Chester County community of Lewis Turnout got $36,000 from the Cinemax series “Outcast” in exchange for letting the filmmakers use his property for 18 months.

When “Outcast” finished up, the producers gave him the house they had purchased for $75,000 in another part of the county.
“I didn’t argue,” he said.
The movie money helped with medical bills, he said.
