Statement from MPAA CEO Charles Rivkin on Senate Finance Committee Passage of the Tax Cuts and Job Act

0

The following is a statement from Charles Rivkin, CEO of the Motion Picture Association (MPAA), on the Senate plan for tax reform, which was passed by the Senate Finance Committee.

“The MPAA applauds Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and members of the Senate Finance Committee for their passage of legislation that will fundamentally reform America’s tax code. The U.S. film and television industry is a key driver of the American economy, supporting two million domestic jobs across all 50 states. Meaningful tax reform, as reflected in the Senate Finance Committee’s bill, will further such job creation at home, encourage more domestic production, and promote our nation’s global competitiveness.

“The MPAA encourages the expedient passage of tax reform in the full Senate.”
