William H. Macy returned to Georgia to direct and star in his newest film, “Krystal.”
Macy, who lived in Georgia until he was 10 years old, knew he wanted to film in McDonough’s town square as soon as he arrived.
“It was a joy,” Macy said when asked what it was like to film in McDonough. “It was such a cute little town. I loved it. It was one of those rare instances when as a director you’re sort of imagining what the town square will look like, and as we did location scouts, there it was. That was a good feeling.”
