Blavity raises $6.5M for digital media for black millennials, likely to open Atlanta office

Blavity, a technology and media company aimed at black millennials, recently closed $6.5 million in new funding.

The Series A was led by Silicon Valley venture-capital firm GV with participation from Comcast Ventures, the private VC affiliate of Comcast Corp. (NASDAQ: CMCSA); San Francisco-based Plexo Capital; and Baron Davis Enterprises in Silicon Beach.

TechCrunch first reported the funding.
