Thousands of people showed up at the Savannah Civic Center on Saturday to attend a casting call for an upcoming Disney film being shot in Savannah.
The film — which various industry news sites have reported is a live-action remake of the classic Disney animated feature “Lady and the Tramp” — is expected to start filming on Sept. 10 and end around Nov. 7.
The long line of people weaved around the Civic Center two times over Saturday morning. Some folks had been there since the wee hours of the morning, hoping to be cast as an extra in the remake of the Disney classic.
