Way Down Film Festival goes all out in third year. It’s adding a day and inviting show celebs

Now in its third year, the Way Down Film Festival that will take place Oct. 19-21 is preparing to take the event to the next level.

The festival, which will be held at the historic Springer Opera House, is preparing to serve up more than 40 short films from around the globe. The categories include narratives, documentary and experimental, with cash prizes available for the best of the best.

A special treat for those attending will be appearances by celebrities and crew from the popular shows “Ozark,” “The Walking Dead,” “Stranger Things,” “Bloodline,” “24,” Sharp Objects” and “Halt and Catch Fire.
