Recap with Photos: Cobb County’s Creative Industry Highlighted at Event in Marietta

Georgia Entertainment, in partnership with Cobb Travel and Tourism, held the third 2023 Georgia Unscripted Roadshow in Marietta last week. (See the reel and photos below.) The event focused on Cobb County including the cities of Smyrna, Mableton, Austell, Kennesaw, Powder Springs and others. It was standing room only as over 200 local business owners, entertainment executives along with dozens of legislators and government officials gathered to learn more about the creative economy in Cobb County.

The event was presented by FilmHedgePhilanthroFilms, and South Georgia Studios with premier partners Assembly StudiosBrasfield GorrieICPTrilith Studios, and Yancey Entertainment.

“The Atlanta Braves is far from the only entertainment economic activity happening in Cobb County,” said Randy Davidson, President of Georgia Entertainment. “It’s full service here – venues, catering, hotels, niche production facilities, everything needed for full productions in the region.”

The purpose of this and the other 8 roadshow events is to highlight Georgia’s creative economy and the impact of the entertainment industry in each community. The Cobb County event included comments from:

This included a taste of Cobb County’s finest, provided by Atlanta Craft Services and Mutation Brewing .” The communities for this year’s roadshow are North Fulton/Forsyth County, Athens, Augusta, Columbus, Cobb County, Rome, Savannah, Warner Robins/Macon, and Valdosta.

Georgia Entertainment recognized elected legislators in attendance, honoring their service to the state of Georgia. Those present included Rep. Kasey Carpenter, Senator Michael ‘Doc’ Rhett, Rep. Solomon Adesanya, Rep. John Carson, Rep. Sharon Cooper, Rep. Lisa Campbell, Rep. Teri Anulewicz, Rep. Terry Cummings, Rep. Mary Frances Williams, Rep. Devan Seabaugh, Rep. Matt Barton, Rep. Debbie Buckner, Senator Ed Harbison, Rep. Doug Stoner, Senator Jason Esteves among other government officials in attendance.
