With the new school year underway, Mays High School is proud to announce a groundbreaking initiative that pushes the boundaries of educational excellence through creativity and innovation. In partnership with the Save the Music Foundation and the Music Education Group, Inc., the Mays Music Department is launching MHS Studio Production, a world-class facility designed to inspire collaboration, creativity, and cutting-edge learning.
The new studio is equipped with industry-leading technology to empower students in music creation and production, including:
- Studio Mac Book Pro with advanced music production software
- A Slate Raven MTi MAX Multi-Touch Production Console
- 20 iPads loaded with GarageBand and Soundtrap apps
- 20 individual student workstations
- Three Volt music production stations
- Two electronic keyboards
- Two electric guitars
- Complete podcast studio equipment
- Avid Software with Training and Certification Capabilities
To celebrate this exciting launch, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. The event will begin with an official welcome in the Mays High School Sky Box prior to the ribbon cutting.
This innovative space will enable students to explore new ideas, develop original projects, and achieve new heights of academic and artistic excellence.
