The Golden Isles Film Festival (GIFF) proudly announces the return of its second annual celebration of film, arts, and culture–taking place October 16-18, 2025, in Historic Downtown Brunswick, Georgia.
Following the inaugural debut, the 2025 festival promises a dynamic lineup of award-winning films, filmmaker Q&As, and networking events that highlight the charm of the coastal region.
“Local screenings and celebrations of film have skyrocketed over the past two years.” said Pryce May, Founder and Executive Director of GIFF. “We’re excited to see city, county, and community leaders within the Golden Isles embracing our example and further our vision of an economically vibrant Coastal Georgia film market.”
This year’s festival highlights include:
– Opening Night Film: Shutter Bird – debuting its Georgia premiere at the SoGlo Gallery/Brunswick Actors’ Theatre with co-writer, Ayi Santos, for a Q&A following the film. Shutter Bird is an Oscar-qualified film for Best Live Action Short Film featuring Dallas Liu (Avatar: The Last Airbender) and Isabella Ferreira (Netflix’s Incoming and Love, Victor).
– Tales From the Tides Horror Feature: Bring Her Back – a late-night feature film for those horror-fanactics.
– Panels, Q&A’s, and Workshops in AI Discussions, Filmmaker Forums, and Film Legal Topics – with filmmakers, producers, and creatives from across Georgia’s thriving entertainment industry.
– Afterparties, Networking Events and GALA – turning Downtown Brunswick into a vibrant film and entertainment destination each day, all while supporting and shopping at local and small businesses.
