Athens Film Vertical Initiative: Film Makers’ Roundtable 2

With a focus on linking film makers in one Georgia community to film makers in another Georgia community, the Athens Film Vertical Initiative (AFVI) hosted Peachtree City’s Tiffany FitzHenry of FitzHenry Films and Stephen Bailey, a film funder who just moved to Athens from NYC. Joining the group was also Marty Lang, the new Director of UGA’s Film MFA.

Three Ways Business and Leisure Make a Great Match for Life in Georgia

Not only will the state host a total of eight FIFA World Cup 2026 matches, including a Semifinal, the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center is set to open its doors in 2026. The 200-acre training center and headquarters will serve all 27 U.S. Soccer National Teams, including Senior Women’s and Men’s, Youth, and Extended National Teams.

Georgia Entertainment held their Signature Georgia Entertainment 100 on April 22nd at Eagle Rock Studios. The event was presented in partnership by Explore Gwinnett and Gateway85 CID. The special invite only affair drew over 500 of the who’s who in entertainment including directors, producers, legislators, financiers, and other creatives. At the event, Tim Minard, CEO of Eclipse Gaming, was awarded Georgia’s Entertainment Entrepreneur of the Year.
