Filmed in Augusta, ‘Mister Sleep’ set for April 2 release

Claire Marie Lubeck is no stranger to acting, making her stage debut before she could walk. But her most recent role took her in a completely different direction from her musical theater roots. “This is the first role that I got to create,” said Lubeck, who plays Felicia Payne in a film called “Mister Sleep,” which was screened March 25 at Augusta’s Regal Exchange.

Georgia film industry “essential” to state’s economy, local job creation, say GOP primary voters

Results from a recent statewide survey found more than 75 percent of likely GOP primary voters believe the film industry is a “major” job creator, while nearly 70 percent believe it’s “essential” to Georgia’s economy and benefits the entire state. When asked about the film tax incentive, two-thirds of likely Republican primary voters said they were aware of and support it.
